What is Neat® Glass?
All George Kent window installations will include Neat® Glass, a new, self-cleaning type of glass that is the perfect solution if you want windows that are easy to clean and stay clean for longer durations.
Neat® Glass employs a special coating to naturally loosen organic materials on its surface, such as dust, dirt, and other airborne particles, allowing them to be washed away when it rains.
Neat® Glass is created by applying a special coating to the window exterior during production. This specialty coating is activated by the sun’s UV rays and the result is a much cleaner window surface.

How Does Neat® Glass Work?
When it rains, water will bead on normal glass. This is not the case with Neat® Glass. The specialty coating used on Neat® Glass windows allows rain to easily sheet off, leaving the windows clean and preventing the buildup of beads of moisture.
Ordinary glass will tend to get dirty when the windows dry, as the moisture beads will leave behind marks from residue in the rainwater. By contrast, the sheeting action of Neat® Glass will prevent the initial buildup of residue on the windows, leaving them cleaner for longer durations.
The unique sheeting action of Neat® Glass is activated by ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun. Even in overcast weather, the UV light is sufficient to activate Neat® Glass.
Neat® Glass also assists with keeping your windows clean from other types of debris. Common dust, resin, leaves, bird droppings, and fingerprints will all build up on your glass over time. With Neat® Glass, these marks will simply be washed away with the rain.
